Job description

A Senior Solutions Engineer is the primary technical interface between Auterion and its partners. This role is there to help partners to reach their go-to-market with the Auterion stack. Solutions engineers ensure the successful integration and deployment of our technology into third party systems. As such they will configure and adapt the Auterion stack where necessary, and develop extensions themselves if possible.

Solutions Engineers are jacks of all trades, strong communicators and excel at self-organization. This role is heavily customer facing since solution engineers are responsible for capturing the partners’ requirements, and often detecting necessities before the external parties see them themselves. The ultimate goal is to facilitate partners and customers in safely and effectively bringing their drones to the sky by translating their engineering needs into actionable solutions and collaborating with internal teams.

Core Responsibilities
  • Integrate partner systems with the Auterion stack on-site or remotely, maintaining clear communication and tracking milestones throughout.
  • Apply Auterion engineering best practices, ensuring all integrations meet our internal quality standards.
  • Provide technical sales support, including quoting, order coordination, and handling customer inquiries to maintain high satisfaction.
  • Manage partner software releases, ensuring configurations are safe, clean, and up to date.
  • Develop and deploy MVPs, collaborating closely with core teams to transition them into the main Auterion stack.
  • Escalate to core teams or subject-matter experts when deeper engineering involvement is required.
  • Translate customer needs into aligned requirements that support both partner success and Auterion’s product strategy.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and deliver partner-required features.
  • Ensure timely, successful technology deployments, proactive issue resolution, and minimal downtime for partners.
  • Contribute to product and documentation improvements based on customer insights.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and effectively plan and negotiate project roadmaps.
  • Handle sales-support activities accurately and efficiently.
Key Requirements
  • Ability to effectively interact and interface directly with customers in an engineering context.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++ and Linux.
  • Integrating hardware components (e.g., sensors) into embedded systems and a solid understanding of typical embedded communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.).
  • Design of the wiring diagrams & best practices to avoid electrical interference.
  • Mechanical integration of our hardware, providing guidance on vibrations management and components selection.
  • Willingness to travel and engage in on-site customer deployments primarily across the UK.
  • Experience with Electrical and / or Mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of Control theory and flight control.
  • Multicopter and Fixed Wing piloting and tuning experience.
  • UK Citizenship required, with eligibility for security clearance.
  • Stock Options
  • Pension plan
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Learning and development opportunities
