Title: Senior Sales Executive – Wholesale

Location: Southampton

Reports To: Branch Manager / Department Manager

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + £4,000 Car Allowance

ROLE PURPOSE

To undertake day‑to‑day procurement and sales of fresh produce within an existing client base and further develop profitable business. The successful candidate must have experience of a sales role within the fresh produce industry and a proven track record of improving and developing the sales pipeline.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish, maintain and develop relationships with existing and new suppliers.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities.
  • Maximise sales and profit margins.
  • Take regular part in stock controls.
  • Work closely with the Department Manager to develop opportunities within the region.
  • Ensure the best customer service is always delivered.
  • Assist in picking/assembling specific customers’ orders when applicable (average weight of a package 10 kilos).
  • Liaise with sales, procurement and operations employees at mineral warehouse depot.
  • Coordinate with group H&S and technical teams.
  • Coordinate with Dept. Managers / Branch Manager.
  • Develop close working relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Develop close working relationships with key suppliers.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Successful track record within a fast‑moving wholesale or retail setting and an established ability to build customer relationships and identify business opportunities within the fresh produce sector.
