A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced individual to lead a team of research nurses in the Emergency Department. This role involves managing NIHR portfolio studies and enhancing research culture within the department. Candidates should possess a strong clinical background in Emergency Medicine and prior research experience. Opportunities for professional growth, including mentoring and teaching, are integral to this position. The contract type is fixed term and offers a competitive salary.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of research nurses in our Emergency Department (ED). The role is fully funded by the RDN and is part of a highly successful research community within the department covering a broad range of specialties.
You must have an extensive ED clinical background plus a minimum of two years of research experience at Band 6 in both commercial and non-commercial interventional portfolio studies and be confident in their set up, effective delivery and performance management. You will lead a team of highly motivated research nurses, a coordinator and admin support and there will shortly be a dedicated area for research within the department. There will be opportunities for professional development in mentoring, budget management, teaching, presenting and other personal objectives you may have.
This team has been highly successful in establishing a culture of research within the department and is supported by the RDN Specialty Group Lead who is based in the ED. They perform to a high level when meeting NIHR targets for commercial and non commercial research and lead on research events for the region to promote engagement.
PLEASE NOTE: Interviews will be face to face and you will be asked to give a 10 minute presentation.
