With opportunities for growth and development, a supportive work environment, and a chance to strike the right work‑life balance, this is a perfect opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a fulfilling and rewarding career.

Experienced veterinary nurses seeking the next step in their career will find opportunities for advancement and additional responsibilities at our practice. These may include leadership roles, mentoring opportunities, and the chance to drive clinical innovation.

This position is full time, working 40 hours a week.

About the role

The role provides a mixture of consulting and operating with an interesting and varied caseload. In our practice, we encourage clinical freedom and case continuity and invite you to develop your own clinical interests and career advancement with the support of our team. As a team, we have undertaken many quality improvement initiatives such as reducing antibiotic usage and in‑house ear cytology and are always seeking our next project!

We have various in‑house equipment to aid you including dental radiography, laparoscopy, endoscopy, K‑Laser, Vetscan Imagyst and cryotherapy. We have a local IVC referral centre to offer support for more complex cases.

What we offer

Our dedicated Director of Practice, Lead Vet and supportive colleagues will ensure that you have all the resources and support you need to excel in your career. You will be joining our experienced team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 1 ACA and 4 support staff. The opportunity for CPD and further learning is important to us, therefore we actively encourage and support this. One of our vets is currently undertaking a soft tissue surgery certificate, another ophthalmology along with active interests in surgery and internal medicine within the team.

We can offer flexible rota patterns within our opening times of 8:00am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings on a 1 in 5 rotation. There is no on‑call as our OOH is covered by VetsNow. We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you are looking to fix or flex your work patterns, we can find the right solution for you and would welcome both full and part time applicants.

Romsey boasts a rich tapestry of history, with its stunning medieval architecture, quaint streets, and lush green spaces.
