Are you a compassionate and dedicated RVN looking to join a quaint and busy practice?

Farnham Vet Group is looking for an experienced and confident Senior RVN to join our friendly and highly skilled team on a Fixed Term basis for 12 months.

We have three RCVS accredited sites and combine the best aspects of high-level and local veterinary practice to provide the best of both worlds - with our state-of-the-art Farnham Veterinary Hospital, and our local branches in Farncombe and Vale.

Across all three of our sites, our aim remains the same - to provide the best level of care possible with our clients and patients at the forefront of everything that we do.

The Vale branch has 1 Vet, 1 Nurse and Receptionist. We are busy with consults and have usually about 1-2 operations per day. As a small practice we are very good with client and patient connection and continuity.

About us:

At Farnham Vet Group we proudly offer a fantastic 24/7 veterinary service to the wonderful clients and pets of Surrey and Hampshire. We strive to give our team a good work/life balance and we believe everyone should feel supported to do their best in this great career. We encourage and fully support further development with a generous CPD allowance and certificate opportunities.

We have one of the largest first-opinion hospitals in Surrey, providing 24/7 care with a whole host of high spec equipment and see a wide variety of complex cases. Our branches in Vale and Farncombe offer a range of services and have become community staples. We care for each and every patient as if they were our own pet, and we nurture strong relationships with our clients.

Here's what our Team have to say:

'Lovely stable branch practice with ability to run comprehensive bloods, undertake routine procedures, ultrasound and Xray. Full support of the hospital for more complex cases. Clients are very appreciative of the continuity of care we offer'. Senior Nurse at Vale 14 years qualified

'Lovely clients with strong community feel. Great transport links, good local facilities and lovely open spaces to explore during lunch breaks. Receptionist

The Area:

Farnham is a historic market town that nestles in the Surrey hills, and our Vale branch is just 6 miles away in the picturesque village of Ash.

We are surrounded by some beautiful nature attractions and historic sites, not to mention the terrific Tilford Brewery. Being just over an hour away from London, there is also plenty of opportunity to visit the bustling UK capital in your free time, as well as providing a hub of transport with major train stations and airports.

Your Role:

As the sole RVN at the practice you will be responsible for:

  • Nurse consults and patient admissions/discharges
  • Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing
  • In-patient care and recovery

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered)
  • Confident with sole charge, nurse clinics and tricky anaesthetic
  • Good communication skills and a commitment to high clinical standards

Hours and Rota:

  • Full-time position (38 hours per week) split over 4 days - 8.30am to 7pm with 1 hour unpaid for lunch

What We Offer:

  • Up to £31,000 per annum
  • Generous CPD allowance and support for further qualifications
  • 6 weeks paid holiday including bank holidays
  • Health Shield - wide ranging contributions for health and wellbeing treatments - from dentistry to sports massage
  • RCVS fees paid
  • Company pension scheme
  • Colleague discounts for your pets
  • Supportive working environment that values your wellbeing and career development
