Job description

A post has become available based at The Maidstone Hospital, with rotation through CT, General X-Ray & Theatres at Maidstone Hospital and The West Kent Community Diagnostic Centre.

The department is a friendly and supportive environment that allows its staff to succeed in their goals; we are committed to supporting CPD and encouraging role development. Our departments are busy diagnostic hubs delivering high-quality imaging for an acute trust.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a caring, dynamic, motivated radiographer who will suggest and encourage ideas, to join our team. If you have a commitment to outstanding care, quality and have an interest in developing your leadership skills then our senior team could be for you.

You will be an experienced Radiographer with significant experience in performing a wide range of CT examinations including colon and cardiac imaging. Previous specialist imaging experience is essential.

Experience/Knowledge
  • Post qualification clinical experience and a sound knowledge of NHS hospital protocols and practices
  • Direct experience of specialist imaging procedures
  • Enhanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology to support emergency pathways and elective imaging
  • Advanced knowledge of Ionising Radiation Regulations, their implementation and implication
  • Responsibility in a clinical area e.g. equipment, QA, training, protocols, rota, students, H&S, quality, staff resources, paediatrics
  • Local knowledge of trust
  • Experience of cardiac intervention
  • Experience of interventional radiology
  • Experience of workloads in busy trauma centre
  • Working out of hours for Cardiac, CT or IR service
  • Experience in general or trauma paediatric imaging
