BCS Connect are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, a specialist groundworks contractor.

Role

Based in Sheffield, Yorkshire, this is an office-based role with occasional site visits. You will support the Commercial Manager and work closely with the Construction Manager across a variety of domestic residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing costs and valuations for groundworks packages, including roads, sewers, foundations, substructure works, and externals.
• Preparing and maintaining spreadsheets/tick sheets based on BOQs provided by estimators.
• Quoting for and managing additional client-requested works.
• Ensuring all commercial processes are carried out accurately and efficiently.

Candidate

• Groundworks surveying experience (subcontractor background preferred).
• Strong track record in domestic residential projects.
• IT proficiency, especially with spreadsheets.
• A hardworking, systematic approach, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
