Job summary

A regional contractor in Kent is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee projects ranging from £5 to £20 million across various sectors, including Leisure, Justice, and Health. The successful candidate will manage the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts and work alongside a project delivery team. Experience as an SQS with main contractors is essential, alongside familiarity with different contract forms.

Qualifications

• Main contractor experience as the SQS within the Construction space.
• Experience of different contract forms.
• Experience on projects ranging between £5m to £20m.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery.
• Working alongside the project delivery team to ensure contractual control and cost management.
• Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to final account agreement.
• Involved with final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome.
• Manage junior Surveyors.

Duties and responsibilities

• Working alongside the project delivery team, to ensure the contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors
• Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement
• Being involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome
• Manage junior Surveyors
