Senior Quantity Surveyor - Utilities

Location: Remote (with travel to client sites/offices within the South East 4-5 times per month)

Salary & Package: £65,000 - £80,000 + car/travel allowance, pension, healthcare, 25 days leave + bank holidays

I'm working with a leading energy and infrastructure business delivering large-scale programmes across the UK. They are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. The Senior Quantity Surveyor's first project will be focused around the roll out of a high volume/low value upgrade programme for a major utilities provider in the South East.

The successful candidate will take commercial responsibility for a newly awarded long-term utilities framework, ensuring effective cost control, risk management, and contract administration. You\'ll be client-facing, working closely with both stakeholders and internal delivery teams to ensure commercial performance and value for money.

Responsibilities

  • Full commercial and cost management of a multi-year utilities programme.
  • Administration of NEC contracts.
  • Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and management.
  • Forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
  • Working collaboratively with clients and project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Acting as the \'go to\' person for all commercial and contractual matters across the business (NEC).

About You

  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in utilities, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Skilled in cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
  • Confident working in a client-facing role.
  • Willing to travel to sites and offices in the South Coast and Hertfordshire.
