Senior Quality Manager

£60,000 to £66,000 plus great benefits including private healthcare (Work Level 5) — Manchester City Centre. This is a hybrid role with time split between home, the office and visiting our suppliers, depots and stores. 10-month fixed-term contract / secondment.

We’re looking for a Senior Quality Manager to join our Own-Brand Team here at Co-op. In this role, you’ll own and lead the end-to-end quality process for Co-op brand products. You’ll use data and insight to drive continuous improvement, aligning quality initiatives with the strategic goals of the team. From setting and maintaining product specifications to benchmarking against market standards, you’ll ensure our products deliver exceptional quality for our customers and member-owners. You’ll build strong, collaborative relationships with our suppliers to ensure quality standards for our Own Brand Products are clearly defined, understood and consistently delivered. Ultimately, you’ll help us to create amazing products for our customers and member-owners.

What you’ll do
  • Be accountable for the end-to-end quality process for our own brand products from concept to the product being in our stores
  • Make sure our Quality Assurance is fit for purpose and monitor compliance across Co-op Own Brand
  • Collaborate with our Suppliers to ensure understanding of quality, customer, and commercial metrics
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, including Own Brand, Insight, Product Development and Technical, as well as external suppliers and service providers
  • Use data and insight to build the foundation of Co-op Own Brand quality to drive towards team targets and goals
  • Gather information about product performance and monitor complaints data to support decisions about Own Brand products
