Job description

Job Title: Senior Quality Inspector - Receipt Inspection

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Fulltime onsite)

Salary: £37,091 + shift allowance

What you'll be doing:
  • Performing quality inspections in accordance with BAE Systems specifications and overseeing the auditing and documentation of procured parts received by the business
  • You’ll understand the quality requirements, schedules, and priorities, and ensure the delivery of an inspection service aligned with these expectations
  • Ensuring that high quality records are produced as an output of the production processes and inspections
  • Manage the quality inspections of externally manufactured products, quality inspection requirements and document release of procured parts
  • Raising defect notifications against non-conformances for incoming products
Your skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Mechanical, Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing background
  • Proficient with SAP

Desirable:

  • Previous QC Inspection experience
  • Understanding of Quality Inspection techniques
  • HNC level qualification or relevant experience in Trade background

The Quality Receipt Inspection team:

You will gain good visibility and a broad perspective across all the products that go into building a Submarine. With responsibility for inspections across all external suppliers, alongside a diverse stakeholder group and highly complex products, this position is both challenging and rewarding. It's a truly cross‑functional role with plenty of variety. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
