Overview

Senior Quality Engineer, North Lanarkshire — Full-time, on-site, early finish Friday. Salary: £45–55,000 (depending on experience).

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our client at a Scottish manufacturing site that is undergoing significant growth and investment. This is a senior role with real influence, combining hands-on problem-solving with the opportunity to shape quality strategy in a facility that has recently invested in new equipment, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

As the technical authority within the Quality function, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards while supporting the ongoing development of the Quality Management System. You’ll be responsible for driving root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects that directly reduce the cost of poor quality. The role is customer-facing, so you’ll need the confidence and credibility to represent the company in technical discussions with high-profile customers across regulated industries.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading detailed investigations into product performance issues and implementing robust corrective actions
  • Driving continuous improvement across manufacturing and supplier processes to enhance reliability and efficiency
  • Managing internal and supplier audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100
  • Working closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve complex quality issues
  • Acting as a trusted technical representative in customer reviews and audits
