Role- Quality Engineer

Salary- 35,000 - 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type- Permanent

Location- Manchester

My client is an engineering company that designs and installs products for customers nationwide. They are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.

They are looking for a proactive individual to ensure that all quality standards and processes are maintained across the production line.

The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Proven experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering or Quality Management (BEng, HND, CQI, etc.)
  • Experience working within the power industryIn-depth knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis)
  • Experience with auditing processes
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to addressing quality issues
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
  • Conducting quality audits and ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Investigating and resolving quality issues and non-conformances
  • Collaborating with production teams to improve quality processes and reduce defects
  • Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Managing the quality management system (QMS) and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to address quality-related concerns
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality
  • Occasional travel to the other site located in Leicester
