Job Description:

We are seeking a Technical Assessor with experience in manufacturing coke oven products. This contract role involves remote work with UK coverage. As a Technical Assessor, you will play a vital role in the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise in Coke and Refinery sectors.

Key responsibilities include assessing manufacturing processes related to:

  • Coke oven products, coke, semi-coke, pitch, oven gas, crude coal, lignite tars, and coke agglomeration.
  • Understanding environmental impacts of manufacturing coke and refined petroleum products.
  • Production of motor fuels, gasoline, kerosene, and refinery gases.
  • Manufacture of oil-based products for petrochemical and road coverings industries.
  • Manufacture of petroleum briquettes and biofuel blending.

Candidate should have a degree in organic chemistry or extensive relevant experience. On-site understanding of processes such as carbonisation, distillation, mineral oil production, coke production, and related environmental and safety standards is essential.
