Job summary

Role Snapshot

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Psychologist to work within a specialist educational setting based in Hertfordshire.

The candidate will be working for an employer who has clinical services within educational and care settings for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. The successful candidate will join the school‑based therapy team working with children/adolescents aged 5–16 presenting with Autism, learning disabilities, SEMH needs or communication difficulties.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical assessment and formulation.
  • Offer 1‑to‑1 interventions.
  • Support and consult with educational and residential colleagues to ensure therapeutic environments for service users.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical team.

Contract type: permanent and term time only

Hours: full time

Salary: £66,175 – £69,875 FTE

Experience Required
  • HCPC registration (Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, or Educational Psychologist).
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH needs or Autism.
  • Preferably in educational or similar settings.
