Job summary

A mental health services provider in the UK seeks a Band 7 / 8a Practitioner Psychologist to join their acute mental health wards in North Birmingham. You will be responsible for providing psychological assessments and interventions for adults, working closely with ward teams to develop care plans. The ideal candidate will be HCPC registered with experience in severe mental health needs and strong communication skills. Qualifications

  • Suitable for HCPC-registered Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist.
  • Must possess experience working with adults in mental health settings.
  • Demonstrated communication and team-working abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions on inpatient wards.
  • Develop psychologically informed care plans with ward teams.
  • Consult and train MDT colleagues.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement.
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists and Trainees.
