Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of medical work experience.
• At least six years in a relevant specialty.
• Experience in supervising non-medical prescribers.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior medical leadership to Torbay HTT.
• Conduct urgent assessment and treatment of patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in mental health.

Skills

Excellent clinical skills in interviewing and assessment

Ability to manage crises independently

Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983

Good knowledge of clinical risk management

Ability to apply psychological models

Education

MB BS or equivalent

GMC registration

Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists
