Job description
Overview

Built Alliance is working with one of the UK's leading regeneration and placemaking developers to appoint a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of one-of-a-kind regeneration schemes across the North West of England.

These are not your typical developments. They are long‑term, large‑scale projects designed to fundamentally transform towns, city centres and communities, creating places with lasting social, economic and environmental impact which hasn't been seen before.

Responsibilities
  • Lead complex mixed‑use developments from early‑stage planning and design through construction and completion.
  • Take ownership of programme, risk, quality and delivery strategy, working closely with internal development teams and a wide range of external stakeholders including local authorities, public sector partners, consultants and contractors.
  • Coordinate multi‑disciplinary consultant teams, support procurement and contractor engagement, manage delivery risks and ensure projects are aligned with wider placemaking, sustainability and social value objectives.
  • Manage strong stakeholder relationships, particularly where schemes are delivered in partnership with local authorities or joint venture partners, and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
  • Proven background in complex regeneration, mixed‑use or large‑scale residential development projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence operating in multi‑stakeholder environments, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
  • Experience working client‑side development or within a consultancy delivering major construction schemes is welcome, as is a genuine interest in placemaking and community‑focused development.
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MAPM or similar are advantageous but not essential.

What sets this role apart is the chance to work on projects of real substance. Developments that go beyond individual buildings to reshape entire places. You will be part of a developer that is recognised for its collaborative approach, long‑term vision and commitment to creating meaningful places rather than short‑term schemes.

For the right person who is passionate about regenerating the North, this is a brilliant chance to work on career‑defining projects which will have everlasting positive impact.
