EPC Services Company, a leading power/utility engineering consultant and construction firm, has immediate openings for full-time Senior Project Managers in our Madison, WI office. Consideration for a remote-work arrangement will be based on a candidate's level of industry experience in Project Management.
Senior Project Managers are senior professionals who provide strategic planning and management of construction for electrical power, communications, and industrial facilities, including civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines. They are key resources to general and executive managers, providing insight and counsel on high-level business management decisions. They lead Engineering, Procurement, and Construction turnkey projects (EPC) and manage programs for large clients, project management, project financials, bidding, safety, field support, general administration, and training/mentoring of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers. This position typically reports to the Branch Manager, or to the General Manager, Vice President, or President depending on client and project. Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers may be assigned to work with a Senior Project Manager as required.
Occasional travel may be required for monitoring and control of construction projects.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Construction Management and a minimum of 10 years' project management experience with complex projects in transmission line or substation construction, or a combination of education and experience in high-voltage electrical systems; prior experience in electrical design of substations / switchyards is a plus. Excellent organizational skills; effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including basic spreadsheet structure, formatting, conditional formatting, shortcuts, basic formulas and keyboard navigation controls; experience with Vista (Viewpoint) software is a plus. The successful applicant must possess the ability to pass all Company and client-mandated drug and background checks. Occasional travel/driving is required; therefore, the successful applicant will be subject to EPC Services\' auto insurance carrier requirements.
