Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: London/Hybrid (Typically 2/3 days in the office)

Purpose of the role:
  • Be responsible for full delivery (time, cost and quality) of significant ASL projects in the submitting Business areas in accordance with the framework.
  • Manage projects from pre-inception to eventual Closure and may include input in delivery of the early business case.
  • Within larger Programmes, may be responsible for specific stages or workstreams.
  • Establish strong relationships across ASL and associated external stakeholders.
  • Manage assigned project resources for duration of the assignment.
Main Accountabilities
What does this job involve:
  • Lead / project manage business projects and programmes across ASL as assigned.
  • Manage full lifecycle from inception to handover and closure.
  • Leading/chairing of meetings.
  • Accurately track project progress and produce monthly status reports and Steering Control packs.
  • Produce and maintain project management documentation (PIDs, RAID, Plans, Change Control, etc).
  • Provide project management skills and expertise to support the business lead on major business projects/programmes.
  • Ensure that appropriate governance structure is in place and work with the central team to ensure the framework tools and processes are used.
  • Involve all internal/external resources at appropriate points in the life-cycle to draw upon their expertise.
  • Manage projects and programmes in a quality way, within agreed budgets and timeframes.
  • Create and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels, ensuring full understanding of requirements and the meeting of their needs.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks, cross-project dependencies to ensure full benefits realisation.
  • Manage the project financial and human resources in an efficient and effective way.
  • Actively support, at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer and other information.
