Expanded Structures is the UK leader in reinforced concrete basement, sub and superstructure frame construction.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to support our portfolio of projects in the Norwich / Kings Lynn / Suffolk area.

Scope

Role & Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the achievement of safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences
  • Support the delivery of the sub project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parameters
  • Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the plan
  • Ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce
  • Support the programming of day to day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team
  • Interface with the construction manager and sections managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation
  • Monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change
  • Lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress and design
  • Ensure effective implementation of Laing O Rourke project management systems and procedures
  • Contribute to the contract review process
  • Chair safety committee meetings on a monthly basis, take minutes, distribute and carry out all actions
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or recognisable qualification)
  • Between 10-15 years' experience
  • Structures experience - desirable
