Job description
The Role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who will be required to work closely with a variety of Clients, on a range of large, exciting and often complex software development projects, against agreed timescales, budgets and quality measures. Experience managing cross functional teams in both Agile (scrum, kanban) and Waterfall methodologies is a necessity.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to customer sites, occasionally, across the UK. We are happy to consider UK applicants who have at least 5 years proven track record in IT project management, we would consider a remote, hybrid or office based working pattern.

This will be a varied role operating as part of a small PM team in a dynamic environment, but key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the customer to understand their requirements for the project, developing effective working relationships and ongoing management processes for the project
  • Planning - working alongside all technical teams the Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, communication and then the efficient execution of the project in accordance with agreed budgets, timescales, methodologies / process and quality targets
  • Define the deliverables, task requirements and phased work plan for the project, and manage their development and delivery
  • Estimate and plan projects from start to finish
  • Status reporting - Identify and resolving issues / risks and actions in a timely manner.
  • Communication and stakeholder management – agree governance and communication protocol and ensure the project is delivered in line with that agreed. Pro‑active management of expectations throughout the project and to act as the single point of contact for the project
  • Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project
