Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £50 million high‑profile construction project in the heart of Cardiff city centre. This is a flagship scheme for a key client and will play a major role in the continued regeneration of the city.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the project from pre‑construction through to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a £50m construction project
• Managing the project lifecycle from design coordination and procurement through to handover
• Leading and motivating site and project teams, including subcontractors and consultants
• Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as the primary point of contact
• Managing programme, cost control, risk, and change management processes
• Ensuring full compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures
• Chairing progress meetings and providing accurate reporting to senior stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager on large‑scale construction projects (£30m+)
• Strong background in commercial or mixed‑use construction
• Demonstrable experience delivering projects in live or city centre environments
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, programming, and cost control
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and relevant construction qualifications preferred
