A leading public sector organization in Birmingham seeks a Senior Procurement Professional to support compliant procurement activities. You will manage new frameworks and oversee procurement processes. The ideal candidate has prior public sector procurement experience and is familiar with e-procurement platforms. This role offers a competitive salary of £55,000 - £58,000 and a strong benefits package including 25 days holiday.

Skills

Experience with end-to-end procurement activities in a public sector organisation
Knowledge relating to DPS, e-procurement platforms and frameworks
Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities

You will support the Head of Procurement in delivering compliant procurement activities. This includes helping to plan, manage, and administer new frameworks, long-term contracts, and the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a forward plan and detailed programme for all procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Manage the procurement of new frameworks, long-term contracts, and DPS solutions.
  • Oversee mini-competitions, direct awards, and DPS tenders to ensure they meet the needs of the business and memebers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and members to develop accurate specifications and pricing models.
  • Ensure accurate records of all procurement activities to demonstrate compliance with PCR 2015 / PA 2023

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience with end-to-end procurement activities in a public sector organisation
  • Knowledge relating to DPS, e-procurement platforms and frameworks
  • Comfortable working within public sector regulations (PCR 2015 and Procurement Act 2023)
  • MCIPS or working towards would be beneficial but not essential
  • Strong work ethic and can manage multiple priorities at once
