Senior Pre-Sales Engineer - Commercial Heating

A leading manufacturer of heating and renewable energy solutions is seeking a Specification Manager (Senior Pre-Sales Engineer) to drive engagement with M&E consultants, contractors, local authorities, housing associations, and developers. The role focuses on promoting a full range of commercial and domestic heating products - including boilers, heat pumps, and water heaters - through technical support, CPD delivery, and specification development from concept to installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to grow specification opportunities.
  • Provide technical and design support, including heat loss calculations and system schematics.
  • Deliver product presentations and CPDs to consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage CRM data, analyse sales information, and support reporting activities.
  • Support projects from quotation through to commissioning and client handover.
Package
  • Total package up to 72,000
  • Salary: 50,000- 60,000 (DOE)
  • Annual bonus: 8,000 at target, up to 12,000 for 150% achievement

Requirements
  • Proven experience in HVAC specification sales
  • Strong technical understanding of heating systems, including heat pumps and boilers.
  • Confident communicator with presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results independently.
  • Knowledge of current building services regulations and industry standards.
