Senior colleagues will provide support and mentoring to the successful candidate to develop within the post, and to engage in CPD. The CMHT psychologists are also currently engaged in an exciting period of service development where there are many opportunities to be involved and work within your area of interest. The wider CTM psychology service is going through a period of development aimed to foster good links and communication across specialities and is a thriving department to sit within. The Psychological Professionals Network has also been set up where colleagues can support each other with specialist skills in both clinical and service development work.

Responsibilities
  • Take a lead in promoting psychological ways of understanding and working across adult mental health, including service development and application of evidence-based, trauma-informed models within CMHTs and working with the most complex and long-term service users.
  • Undertake complex clinical work, develop and deliver group programmes, provide training, supervision, formulation and professional reflective spaces for colleagues in psychology and other disciplines.
  • Be expected and supported to undertake further training in relevant specialist areas, monitor and evaluate service developments and provide regular reports as appropriate.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Practitioner psychologist, with experience in adult community mental health settings.
  • Ability to work across complex and long-term cases within CMHTs and to contribute to service development and training.
