Manage a protected caseload of children and families with complex safeguarding needs, including assessments, child protection enquiries, reviews, and court work.
Apply strengths-based and motivational interviewing techniques to engage and empower families effectively.
Take the lead on high-risk cases, modelling excellent practice and ensuring timely, effective interventions.
Prepare and deliver clear, analytical, and comprehensive reports for conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
Offer mentorship and informal supervision to less experienced staff, promoting confidence and professional growth within the team.
Contribute to reflective practice sessions, peer reviews, and practice improvement initiatives that drive continuous service quality.
Collaborate with multi-agency partners including domestic abuse, mental health, and substance misuse services to provide joined-up family support.
Uphold children’s welfare, safety, and rights, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and local policies.
Maintain professional registration, pursue ongoing development, and ensure accurate and compliant case recording.
Travel across Hertfordshire for home visits and adapt working patterns to meet the needs of the service.
