Job description

We are looking to support our client based in Greater Manchester (South) with a requirement for a Senior Piping Designer on a contract basis.

This will be to start in late June and run for 6 months although further work may be possible. It is anticipated that this role will fall outside of IR35 and Limited Company contractors can operate. Rates are negotiable to prior level of experience but anticipated to be around 45 per hour gross.

The client works in the process industry / oil and gas sector and are looking for a senior level candidate capable of working within a fast paced environment and similar projects. They will be part of a design team consisting of around 4 other designers and utilising Plant3D and AutoCAD software. The work will be stainless steel pharma type piping with SIkla supports, steelwork, layouts etc, no hot / pipe stressed lines.

This will be largely office based work - and will require 5 days per week in the office - certainly for the first few months. Some capacity for flexibility on hybrid working may become available after an initial period. As such candidate living locally or within a commutable distance will be highly preferable.

As this is a UK based, temporary contract role - existing eligibility to work in the UK via nationality, residency, or existing work permit will be necessary for any applications.
