About the Role

Senior Paralegal / Litigation Executive Motor Manchester

We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Paralegal / Senior Litigation Executive to join our dynamic team!

The Role

As a Senior Paralegal / Litigation Executive, you will take the lead on managing motor-related claims, guiding cases from initial contact through to resolution. Your expertise will help us navigate complex legal challenges, negotiate effectively, and secure the best outcomes for our clients.

In this role you will not only be working independently but as part of a successful Motor team. The ideal candidate will have previous Motor file handling experience or worked in the insurance industry.

The role holder will deal with fully litigated small claims / fast track case load of files and assist other Fee Earners as and when required.

To ensure that clients are confident that their legal affairs are dealt with in a business-like and competent manner and to ensure the efficient operation of the firm.

What will I be doing?

You will be handling a diverse caseload of defendant litigated files, from OIC to Fast Track. You\'ll review damages, develop case plans, and coordinate with clients, third parties, and insurers through negotiations and correspondence. Your role includes drafting legal documents, attending court hearings, and managing cases from start to finish efficiently and cost-effectively. You\'ll ensure compliance with legal standards, SLAs, and firm procedures while maintaining excellent time management and organisational skills.

What do I need?

To excel in this role, you will have at least 12 months experience in handling litigated claims; preferably defendant cases, and a good understanding of the CPR, SRA Code of Conduct, and motor insurance. Familiarity with medical reports is a plus.

You should be client-focused, organised, and able to meet billing targets while providing excellent client care. The ideal candidate takes initiative, adapts well to change, and works effectively under pressure - whether independently or as part of a team.
