The Team

We are a pan‑EMEA team renowned for deep sector expertise and a differentiated approach to solving critical business problems. We deliver complex transformations, including product and engineering cost optimization, productivity improvement. Our work spans pre‑deal commercial, technical, and operational due diligence, post‑merger integration, and carve‑outs. Team members may also take interim leadership roles, such as CTO, to drive client success. We combine in‑industry and advisory experience, collaborating closely with specialists across A&M Business Units to deliver seamless, high‑impact solutions for our clients.

The Role

You will engage with two primary client types:

  • Technology‑led hardware products businesses
  • Hardware‑interfacing software businesses
You will lead and execute assessments, transformations, and due diligence projects, leveraging your industry experience and technical acumen to deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess product portfolio, and product and technology roadmaps to determine strategic fit and investment effectiveness
  • Develop decision‑support models to challenge clients in prioritising investment across their roadmaps
  • Analyse complex product and technology ecosystems including product lifecycle model and product / technology development processes
  • Model interdependencies between technology, cost, schedule and performance to identify optimisation opportunities
  • Analyse capability and scalability of organisation, operating models, ways of working, use of digital tools, supporting technical functions, and strategic technology partnerships and supply chain
  • Design and implement optimised processes to boost efficiency, reduce time‑to‑market, and improve product quality
  • Define metrics and KPIs to track R&D and portfolio performance
  • Develop and manage data request lists; interrogate client systems
  • Interrogate customer and engineering data for actionable insights, and build quantitative and qualitative fact‑bases for assessments
  • Execute due diligence for product and engineering functions, delivering client‑ready reports to Private Equity and Corporate clients
  • Coach clients through major change initiatives and collaborate with cross‑functional client teams including engineering, finance and product management
  • Chair meetings, run workshops, and present executive‑level updates and final readouts
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture
Technical Competencies and Experience
  • Extensive relevant experience in technology‑led engineering business units and professional services (e.g. aerospace, nuclear, industrials)
  • Experience in consulting to the tech industry
  • Experience in leading and delivering performance improvement or transformation engagements
  • Experience with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or related transaction/product and tech due diligence
  • Deep expertise in Systems Engineering methodology and its application across the lifecycle to deliver competitive products
  • Proven track record in implementing evidence‑based business improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with market‑leading tools for product lifecycle management, engineering design and analysis
  • Ability to translate technical insights into commercial implications
