Location : Birmingham City Centre

Salary : £35,000 to £40,000 (Dependent on Experience)

We are working with a rapidly growing client who are Multinational Logistics Provider, with an extensive background of offering 3PL solutions to blue-chip organisations and SMEs. Working with them we are looking for an energetic Freight Forwarding Operator to join a growing Birmingham City Centre Team. This is a unique opportunity for a candidate that wishes to apply their experience of Seafreight, Roadfreight, Airfreight and Customs Clearance, not only within the UK market, but also Northern Ireland and the European Union. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate diligence and commercial-mindedness with a desire to work within an enthusiastic operations team. Key Responsibilities
  • Providing customer service in a friendly and timely fashion
  • Liaising with clients and overseas offices alike to provide operational excellence.
  • Raising documentation such as Bills of Lading / Air Waybills, CMRs, Invoices and Insurance Certificates

Maintaining a customer-focused approach, whilst always keeping an eye on cost savings to increase profitability and value to our clients.

Monitoring Department profit & loss, shipments not billed and accrual reports for the Senior Management Team

Providing Customs Clearance support to the Brokerage Team

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years' experience working within Freight Forwarding.

  • Previous experience in Road, Sea or Airfreight
  • Able to handle shipments from collection to delivery, including billing and customs clearance.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
