Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency in London is seeking a highly motivated Specialist Senior Oncology Pharmacist for a temporary position from August to November 2024. The role involves providing clinical pharmacy services to oncology patients and leading chemotherapy prescription screenings. Candidates should have up-to-date GPhC registration and preferably a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy. Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy or Oncology Pharmacy (preferred).
  • Hospital experience required, preferably in oncology and haematology.
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic and systemic anti‑cancer treatment (SACT).

Responsibilities

  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service to oncology patients.
  • Lead the clinical screening of chemotherapy prescriptions.
  • Function as an Independent Prescriber within oncology clinics.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare staff.
  • Manage medicines optimisation and medicine management activities.
