Job description

Overview

Are you passionate about working with adults with mental health issues? Then we want to hear from you! We are looking to fill a full‑time post at a Local Mental Health Team covering the Mansfield area of Nottinghamshire. Our core business hours are 09:00-17:00 but some flexibility can be offered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specific assessments, formulation and interventions, working collaboratively with patients, their carers/families and partnership organisations to develop creative, goal‑oriented, time‑limited occupational therapy plans.
• Provide a high‑quality Occupational Therapy service collaboratively with patients in their own homes and local environments.
• Work with an assistant in the provision of intervention plans.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to join an existing dynamic multidisciplinary Local Mental Health Team.
• Full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use. Reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
• Pay for DBS check (£26.40 standard or £54.40 enhanced) will be deducted from salary over the first 2 months of employment.
• Applicants requiring a Skilled Worker Visa can determine the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship against the relevant criteria.

This post does not meet the pay or skill level required for a Skilled Worker visa and the Trust would not be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
