Overview

The Intermediate Care Therapy Team is offering an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Bognor Intermediate Care Unit in Bognor Regis. Applications are welcome from experienced band 5 Occupational Therapists with relevant experience who wish to develop into a band 6 role. In this circumstance, the position would be paid initially at band 5 level (dependent on experience) until B6 competencies have been achieved. Main duties of the job
  • Practise as an occupational therapist managing the occupational therapy caseload in the inpatient setting and delegate work to other team members as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain a high standard of clinical practice as a member of the multidisciplinary team, in line with the College of Occupational Therapists’ code of professional conduct.
  • Assist the multidisciplinary team in preparing intervention plans, implementing rehabilitation, and planning complex discharges.
  • Carry out access visits where clinicallyReasoned essential and travel as required.
  • Work jointly with other professionals to ensure a patient-centred approach.
  • Review and reflect on practice through regular professional supervision with your nominated occupational therapy supervisor.
  • Provide clinical supervision to other team members as agreed with the Therapy Lead.
