Overview

We\'re looking for compassionate and caring Nursing Assistants with a passion to be a key part of the patient care journey here at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). Our Nursing Assistants take great pride in the essential work we do. We\'re not just helping patients, we\'re going the extra mile for them day in, day out. Our nursing teams are committed to caring for our patients and families, delivering consistent, high quality, patient focused care.

You\'ll communicate in a sensitive and compassionate manner with patients, relatives, and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The service runs 7 days a week, with varying shift patterns between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm and includes Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a B3 Senior Nursing Assistant with NVQ Level 3 qualification to join our integrated Community Nursing Team in Trafford.

We have 1 part time position 22.5 hours over 3 days to include weekends and late shifts. Set days could be accommodated as part of Flexible working.

The role will involve travelling to patients\' homes from various locations across South Manchester. You will need to demonstrate at interview how you will achieve this. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses and within Trust guidelines & protocols, you\'ll assist in delivering the excellent patient care you would expect for yourself and your loved ones.

Responsibilities
  • Support patients with personal care needs and travel to patients\' homes from various locations.
  • Follow on the job training and assessment; undertake a range of delegated duties, including recording patient observations and changes to clinical conditions.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification (B3 Senior Nursing Assistant).
  • Previous community experience is preferred; however, training will be available.
  • Part-time role: 22.5 hours over 3 days, with weekends and late shifts; flexible working arrangements may be accommodated.
