Role Overview

My Client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in .NET Core and cloud-native systems. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-performing agile team, contributing to the full software development lifecycle. You'll help design and build distributed systems and APIs, while mentoring others and promoting best practices in engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build and maintain robust, scalable applications and services
  • Ensure software meets business needs, aligns with technical strategy, and is delivered to a high standard
  • Work closely with architects and product teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, introducing new tools, practices, or technologies
  • Mentor junior engineers and help shape technical decision-making within the team
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Expert-level C# development with recent experience in .NET Core and .NET Framework
  • Experience designing and building distributed, event-driven systems
  • Strong API development skills (REST and/or GraphQL)
  • Proficient in relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL, etc.)
  • Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
  • Hands-on involvement across the SDLC including QA and production support
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in WPF desktop application development
  • Background in financial services is desirable
  • Knowledge of the FIX protocol
  • Exposure to serverless and microservices architecture
  • Experience with TDD, BDD, or similar methodologies
