Responsibilities
  • Draft and distribute press releases to relevant media outlets.
  • Manage media inquiries and build relationships with journalists.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to support organisational goals.
  • Monitor media coverage and produce detailed reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media and newsletters.
  • Plan and execute press events and media briefings.
  • Ensure all communications align with brand guidelines and values.
The Successful Applicant
  • Provide sound and relevant media and PR advice to colleagues and senior managers
  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, stakeholders, advocates and partners to gather intelligence
  • Understand and interpret the current and emerging news agenda
  • Have an understanding of the sectors
  • Support the development, implementation and review of effective corporate media relations strategies
  • Use knowledge of the media landscape to develop innovative ideas
  • Demonstrate excellent written comms skills
  • Help lead the delivery of media relations activities
What’s on Offer
  • Grade 4 role in person - £40,000/£41,000 on a day rate
  • 3 days in the office - can do more if you want
