Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Essex
Salary: Up to 55k

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience delivering safety–critical structures. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing large–scale, multi–million–pound projects across diverse sectors, with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation in the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in projects from design to installation, ensuring all deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
Collaborate across multiple disciplines, liaising closely with clients, architects, and consultant teams to develop the best engineering solutions.
Manage and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and supporting professional development.
Conduct site surveys
Support project bidding activities, including client requirement assessments, concept development, value engineering, cost estimating, and schedule generation.
Plan resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgets.

About you

Minimum 5 years experience in the design
Strong problem–solving and innovative thinking
Strong documentation skills with ability to prepare reports and technical submissions for third–party approval.
Highly motivated and enthusiastic about engineering

Excellent communication skills with experience in managing long–term client relationships.
