Job summary

A pioneering clean–energy technology company is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a 3-month paternity cover contract. This role involves detailed CAD design, working closely with the technical team to develop next-gen electrochemical hardware. Ideal candidates have a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and over 4 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on safety methodologies and high-volume manufacture preparation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in mechanical design engineering, including component design for high–volume manufacture.
• Strong CAD capability and experience producing engineering drawings to BS8888 standards.
• Self–starter, able to operate effectively in a fast–paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed CAD designs and drawings.
• Delivering fully–specified drawings, BoMs, and design data.
• Identifying design and process improvements across mechanical components.
