Job summary

A leading environmental consultancy in the UK is seeking a Marine Environmental Consultant to manage environmental studies in subsea cables, offshore renewables, and oil and gas. Ideal candidates will possess a relevant degree and have experience in marine assessments and project management. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills while providing sustainable consultancy solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects within a low carbon transition as part of the team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in a relevant discipline is an advantage.
• Ability to prepare successful tender submissions is helpful.
• Experience in mentoring junior consultants is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and manage a range of environmental studies including EIA, SEA, and HRA.
• Deliver consenting and environmental assessment solutions in marine sectors.
• Manage client accounts and liaise with regulators and stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

As the Marine Environmental Consultant, you will be undertaking and managing a range of environmental studies, including EIA, SEA and HRA. It will be varied, across a portfolio of projects and sectors including subsea cables, offshore renewables, and oil and gas - ensuing consultancy solutions that are sustainable, as we transition to a low carbon future.

Required skills and experience:

• Degree/Masters in a relevant discipline (environmental sciences or similar)
• Skilled in ornithology, underwater sound, marine ecology, marine mammals or fish and shellfish assessments
• Demonstratable project management and client account experience
• Track record of liaison with regulators and other stakeholders
• Demonstrable experience delivering consenting and environmental assessment solutions in the marine energy / industry sectors
• Strong technical, analytical, organisational and communication skills.
