Overview

Please note, this role can be based out of any of our offices in Bristol, Bournemouth, High Wycombe, Peterborough, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, or Inverness.

The role

We are in an expansion phase across the firm and seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Manager to join our Tax Services Group to provide direct support to the partners by managing an existing portfolio of professional partnerships and connected partners, whilst helping to grow and develop this area of our business.

The successful applicant will be responsible for their own portfolio and should possess strong tax technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to foster client relationships.

The allocation of work includes compliance and advisory for professional partnerships and all related matters.

The role will include supporting business development activities, including preparing tenders, proposals and delivering presentations.

The role will involve mentoring and developing team members interested in a partnership specialism along with line management, assisting with work planning and performance feedback.

Ongoing training will be provided, with the opportunity for the individual to attend the firm’s annual tax conference and attend both internal and external training sessions.

The role provides a wide range of interesting work for someone with a solid personal tax background in a friendly and supportive environment.

Qualifications

About you

The role would suit a qualified individual (for example ACA/ACCA/CTA) with several years post qualification experience.

  • Strong UK tax technical skills;
  • Ability to analyse tax technical queries and provide robust advice and solutions;
  • Project management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines and monitor budgets;
  • Responsibility for the delivery and quality of work;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A clear client focus with a commitment to building strong client relationships;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different teams; and
  • Coaching and mentoring skills to develop other team member
  • Business development experience
The team

The Tax Services Group consists of over 110 employees spread over 8 office locations. The team delivers exceptional quality compliance and advisory services to a wide range of high-net-worth private clients, these include those with UK and offshore interests, property owners, business owners, partnerships, and trusts.

  • A 35-hour working week with a hybrid working policy with the flexibility to work from home for up to threedays per week (our core hours are 10-4)
