Overview

STACK is currently looking for a Senior Manager, Communications, to join our EMEA team. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering STACK's communications, content, and public relations strategy across the region. You will drive the development of high-impact messaging that strengthens our brand presence, engages key stakeholders, and supports the company's continued growth across European markets.

Responsibilities
  • INPUT ON STRATEGY
    • Contribute to the development and execution of integrated communications, content, and PR strategies aligned with business objectives
    • Lead the creation of relevant and timely content to support strategic initiatives, client engagement, and local stakeholder and community relations
  • CONTENT
    • Produce high-quality written content, including thought leadership articles, press releases, case studies, white papers, blogs, brochures, social media posts, RFP responses, speeches, video scripts, and internal communications—ensuring consistency with brand voice
    • Develop and manage a strategic content calendar in collaboration with internal subject matter experts
    • Conduct internal interviews and research to inform content development and ensure relevance
    • Provide guidance to Events and Design teams on communications-related activities to ensure brand alignment and clarity
    • Monitor industry trends and regional dynamics to shape content strategy and messaging
    • Collaborate with Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs and Strategy & Development teams to support community engagement
    • Partner with the Social Impact & Sustainability team to support go-to-market strategies for related initiatives
    • Work with HR to align content with employer branding objectives
  • PUBLIC RELATIONS
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, including national, international, trade, and business press
    • Manage the full lifecycle of PR activities across multiple European markets—from content development and distribution to media outreach, interviews, and follow-ups, both directly and via external agencies
    • Identify and pursue media opportunities to elevate brand visibility and executive leadership profiles
    • Oversee relationships with external PR agencies and ensure alignment with STACK's communications goals
    • Lead the development and execution of crisis communications plans, providing strategic counsel and support as needed
  • INTERNAL SUPPORT
    • Develop and maintain a media training program for senior leadership
    • Support the Executive Management Team and other spokespeople in preparing for speaking engagements, including crafting talking points, coaching, and background research
    • Create localized content tailored to regional markets, ensuring it aligns with the overarching brand voice
    • Manage media monitoring tools to track relevant coverage and update keywords as needed
    • Review media alerts and share relevant insights internally
    • Provide regular engagement and performance reports on social media and media coverage across EMEA
    • Produce media analysis reports to inform strategy and support continuous improvement
Skills & Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation abilities
  • Proven copywriting expertise, ideally within the technology sector; experience in the data center industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools such as Meltwater
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a high degree of flexibility and attention to detail
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages such as Italian, French, Spanish, or German is a plus
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, cross-functional, and matrixed environments
  • Background in content development, journalism, and/or corporate communications
  • Established media relationships within European business and technology press
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
