Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• More than 3 years’ experience managing or leading a maintenance team.
• Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
• Awareness of BS5500 and ASME VIII.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies and processes to support operational performance.
• Review new business initiatives and projects and assess their impact on Maintenance activities.
• Oversee all operational plant and equipment maintenance and ensure the annual maintenance plan meets business needs.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage the maintenance budget, reviewing performance and taking corrective action where required.
• Develop, implement and manage KPIs for all areas of responsibility.
• Lead and develop a high performing, customer focused maintenance team with a continuous improvement mindset.

Skills

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft packages and CMMS experience

Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills

Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong project management capability

Proven leadership and people management skills

Ability to provide out-of-hours support when needed

Analytical mindset with sound decision making

Familiarity with service level agreements

Ability to manage own workload and perform under pressure

Education

Degree in an engineering discipline
