Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to join a well‑established and growing business based in Stoke‑on‑Trent.

The role
  • Lead day‑to‑day logistics operations to ensure on‑time, cost‑effective and compliant deliveries
  • Plan and coordinate transport routes, schedules and carrier allocation
  • Oversee warehouse logistics including picking, packing and loading efficiency
  • Manage carrier performance, service levels and KPIs
  • Resolve delivery issues and escalations professionally and efficiently
  • Own logistics administration including dispatch paperwork, claims and audit trails
  • Champion health & safety and compliance across logistics and contractor activity
  • Lead, coach and develop the logistics team
  • Oversee import/export processes where applicable
About you
  • Proven experience in a logistics or transport leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of delivery planning, carrier management and transport administration
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship‑building skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
  • Strong customer focus with a professional, diplomatic approach
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and stock/ERP systems
  • Enthusiastic, reliable and collaborative working style
