Overview

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Lecturer to join our social work teaching team. The successful candidate will support teaching across both the BA and MA Social Work, Health and Social Care, Public Health and other programmes across the Faculty of Education and Social Sciences. Social work practice experience is preferred, and we would welcome applications from candidates with a background working with adults, mental health provision and working with people with protected characteristics in the social work/social care sector.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to teaching across the BA and MA programmes in Social Work, Health and Social Care, Public Health and related areas.
  • Dissertation supervision and practice placement support.
  • Interview student applicants and provide pastoral support to students.
  • Support activities across the Faculty, including potential contribution to the professional doctorate, PGT and PGR, Foundation Year and undergraduate provision.
