Senior Learning Support Assistant

26 hours a week term time only (37.6 weeks) over 4 days (8.30am to 3.30pm)

Salary PS6: (30885 to 33122 FTE). Starting pro-rata salary 18660

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant who is ready to take the next step into leadership as a Senior LSA within our Inclusion team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Communication and Interaction strand of SEND, overseeing interventions for students with speech, language and communication needs.
  • Act as link with the Surrey SALT team and ASD Outreach Service to support student progress.
  • Provide hands‑on classroom support, modelling effective strategies for the wider LSA team.
  • Line‑manage a small group of LSAs and contribute to developing best practice across the department.
  • Work as part of a team supporting young people in our school.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience leading in a SEND context, ideally as an LSA.
  • Knowledge of speech, language and communication interventions.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
