In this high impact role, you'll provide pragmatic, solutions focused advice to internal client departments across the Council. Your work will span contracts, procurement law, grant funding agreements, subsidy control, GDPR, development projects, and governance matters. You'll be part of a supportive Commercial, Contracts & Procurement team that includes a Principal Lawyer, five Senior Lawyers and two Legal Officers.
Our Legal Department is a robust, collaborative service of around 50 officers across four sections: Planning & Property, Commercial, Contracts & Procurement, Child Protection, and Litigation (including Adult Social Care and Employment). We primarily support PCC services and also provide external legal support to other local authorities-offering rich, varied work and real community impact.
