Our client, a leading organisation in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Senior Interface Engineer & Configuration Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in managing technical design interfaces and developing digital systems engineering models within a multidisciplinary design and build environment. Candidates must hold SC Clearance.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Managing site-wide technical design interfaces for a design and build project involving multiple consultancies
• Developing and managing digital systems engineering models in accordance with industry best practices
• Acting as a checker and approver of SparksEA models
• Implementing and controlling new interface management policies and procedures
• Covering production engineering, civil engineering, site services, and inter-project interfaces
• Identifying and engaging stakeholders and design partners
• Understanding and applying relevant existing policies and procedures
• Refining detailed operating procedures, work instructions, and guidance
• Progressing interfaces to agreement
• Implementing configuration management policies, procedures, work instructions, and guidance
• Managing changes to baselines

Job Requirements:

• Experience in configuration management with knowledge of established standards
• Understanding of systems engineering principles
• Good stakeholder management and multidisciplinary design experience
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrable experience in a multidisciplinary design and build environment
• Experience in systems engineering and interface management
• Experience using SparxEA and DOORS is desirable
• Ability to produce clear guidance documents
• Collaborative and able to act in the best interest of the team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to listen and provide instruction effectively
• Proactive commitment to health and safety
