Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer - Operator Secondment Opportunity

Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days remote)

Start: January

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Instrument & Controls Engineer to join a major Export Compressor UCP Upgrade project supporting a zero-routine-flaring initiative. This role involves being seconded directly into the operator's project team, providing technical leadership and engineering oversight throughout the upgrade.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level Controls & Instrumentation engineering support to a major compressor UCP upgrade.
  • Review design deliverables, technical documents, and vendor packages.
  • Support project integration, testing, commissioning and assurance activities.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, projects and engineering teams to ensure safe and compliant execution.
  • Provide technical input throughout project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with industry standards and offshore requirements.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' Controls & Instrumentation engineering and project experience (offshore experience preferred).
  • Strong background in compressor controls, instrumentation systems, and project delivery.
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline; Chartered status preferred.
  • Offshore certification (BOSIET) is a must.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
