Marks & Spencer, a leader in the Retail industry, is seeking a highly motivated Security Incident Response Analyst to join our growing cybersecurity team.

You will be a frontline contributor when the company's IT systems are under attack and you will be expected to actively participate in the entire incident response processes, from the moment that a threat is identified through to after the crisis is contained and to take an active role and assume responsibility during the incident lifecycle.

What you'll do
  • Manage or support single or concurrent incident response activities, from initial detection through containment, eradication and recovery.
  • Maintain a comprehensive incident response plan aligned with industry best practices (NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Investigate security incidents, including digital forensics and evidence collection.
  • Be a proactive and fully engaged member of the incident response team, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across internal departments (eg IT, legal) as well as external stakeholders.
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities and recommend updates to the organization's security posture.
  • Active contribution or management of regular tabletop exercises with the Cyber Defence Teams to test and establish muscle memory for incident response.
Who you are
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on incident response.
  • Proven experience of helping to develop and work with incident response plans.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of digital forensics and incident response methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of relevant security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus.
